Are you looking for a fun and educational event that brings science, creativity, and community together? Mark your calendars for Monday, April 13th, 2026, and join us at 182 Broad Brook Rd for a day packed with discovery and excitement. This special event invites homeschoolers of all ages to present their science fair projects, enjoy a delicious lunch, cast votes for their favorite presentations, and finish the day with a festive egg hunt. It’s a perfect chance to learn, share, and celebrate science in a friendly environment.

What to Expect at the Science Fair


The day starts with setup from 11:00 am to 11:30 am, where participants arrange their projects and prepare to share their findings. At 11:30 am, the science fair presentations and judging begin. This half-hour session allows each child to explain their project, demonstrating their research and investigation skills. It’s a great opportunity to practice public speaking in a supportive setting.


After presentations, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm, everyone breaks for lunch. Pizza, snacks, and refreshments are provided, making it easy to relax and chat with other families. During lunch, attendees can cast $1 votes for their favorite projects, adding a fun competitive element and encouraging participants to engage with each other’s work.


Participation Details and Costs


This event is open to all homeschoolers, ages 6 and up. The participation cost is $12 per child presenting a science fair project. This fee covers entry to the fair, lunch, snacks, refreshments, and the egg hunt. Children who do not present a project, as well as adults and other spectators, pay a $5 admission fee. This $5 fee will include the egg hunt, snacks and refreshments.


Every participant will receive a medal or ribbon to recognize their effort and enthusiasm. Winners will be announced at 1:00 pm, right after the egg hunt, and prizes include cash awards for outstanding projects. As for the egg hunt prizes there will be cash eggs and also one egg will contain a golden ticket for one of the new Hello Kitty X Labubu Dolls!


The Egg Hunt and Closing Activities


The egg hunt runs from 12:45 pm to 1:00 pm, providing a lively and festive way to end the day’s activities. This fun tradition adds excitement for younger children and gives everyone a chance to enjoy the outdoors.


After the winners are announced and awards distributed, the event wraps up with cleanup from 1:10 pm to 1:30 pm. This helps keep the venue tidy and ready for future events.
