Looking for a perfect way to celebrate the end of summer and kick off the new season of homeschooling with a blast? The OHA Not Back to School Bash at High Meadow Resort by Holiday Hill in North Granby, CT, is the event you don’t want to miss. Mark your calendar for Friday, August 28th, 2026, from 11 AM to 4 PM. Whether rain or shine, this day promises endless fun, delicious food, and exciting activities for the whole family. This is open to all homeschooling families! You do not need an OHA Membership to attend but if you'd like to join our OHA Community we'd love to have you!



What to Expect at the Annual OHA Homeschool Not Back to School Bash


This event is designed to bring homeschool families and friends together for a day filled with laughter, games, and great food. The ticket price covers everything you need for a fantastic day out, including unlimited food, drinks, ice cream, cotton candy, and popcorn.


Ticket Prices and Registration


  • Ages 12 and up (including adults): $52 per ticket

  • Ages 11 and under: $30 per ticket

  • Children 3 and under: Free


A mandatory $52 deposit is required upon registration. Half of the final payment is due by April 28th, and the remaining balance is due by June 28th.

Delicious Food and Refreshments All Day Long


The food lineup at the Not Back to School Bash is impressive and designed to satisfy all tastes. Here’s what you can enjoy throughout the day:


  • 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Donuts, bagels, muffins, coffee, and tea, plus nachos with hot cheese sauce

  • 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Veggie tray, fresh rolls with butter, grilled hot dogs with sauerkraut, grilled hamburgers, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, barbecued chicken, three cheese baked penne, corn on the cob with butter, New England baked beans, fresh cole slaw, potato salad, garden salad with assorted dressings, and ice cream treats from an ice cream truck

  • 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Chilled watermelon wedges and Not Back to School cake


All food and drinks are included in your ticket price, so you can eat and drink as much as you like while enjoying the festivities. Unlimited popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream from the ice cream truck throughout the day!



Activities for Everyone


The Not Back to School Bash offers a wide range of activities to keep every family member entertained. Whether you want to relax or get active, there’s something for you:


  • Music and dancing

  • Alpine rockwall climbing

  • Pool with lifeguards on duty

  • Unlimited popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream from the ice cream truck

  • Basketball, miniature golf, softball, racquet sports, volleyball, horseshoes, and soccer

  • Tye-dying station (bring your own shirts)


These activities are included with your ticket, so you can try as many as you want throughout the day.


Organized Games and Competitions


If you love a little friendly competition, the event has a full schedule of organized activities:


  • 11:30 AM: Knockout and 3v3 basketball tournament

  • 12:00 PM: Partnered corn hole tournament

  • 12:30 PM: Whipped cream pie eating contest

  • 1:00 PM: Bingo

  • 2:00 PM: Limbo, hula hoop, and musical chairs

  • 2:30 PM: Treasure hunt

  • 3:00 PM: Field events

  • 3:30 PM: Line dances


These games are a great way to meet new people, have fun, and make memories.
